Dizzy Hearts Collage (part3 - lines)

Part 3 is lines. From here I dropped opacity on the sketch layers and began to draw each character with cleaner, final lines. Each character is comprised of 2 layers, the base body, and the face.I changed the layout slightly for the sisters and Queen Llend. My original pose for Llend was too close to her original sprite. So in this case I redrew her slightly to have a more interesting pose. I also moved Eleyna/Elza/Yulian around for visual effect...

Dizzy Hearts Collage (part2 - full layout)

Rough sketch finished, here I've laid out every character in the banner, and approximate final position. With red being foreground, blue being midground, and green being background. Details are very scarce in this stage, as I'm only getting the very rough steps here. Some characters are far sketchier than others. Often I will do a second sketch ontop of an old sketch such as with Mercilia, where I will refine the shapes and pose further. C...

Dizzy Hearts Collage (part1 - layout)

This is a big collage which will feature the main cast of Dizzy Hearts as well as the sub cast (Mercilia's princess sisters, and her mother Queen Llend). It's a massive project featuring 10 characters in all. This project will run for the next week or two towards the end of the month, and show every step of the project from layout>final sketches>lines>underpaint>overpaint>final effects.I will go into detail about how I construct the parts ...

Seriva (Ontonian Garb)

Seriva's Ontonian Garb, in the story she gets a new outfit. Tailored by Nydimia, the fabric is exceedingly warmer than her Assard clothes that ill-suited for cold environments.

Toko Remix (December 9th)

Releasing December 9th, Toko remix!

Biilarae (sample)

Biilarae, Irraere's former master at thaumaturgy, and the royal thaumaturge to the Queen.

Princess Yuliana (full sprite)

Head of the Chambers of Law, Yuliana is a prim and proper princess filled with strength, shrewdness, and a sense of tradition. Her life has been spent self-grooming for the throne of Lungarde. Considering the state of her sisters - from their incompetence in running their branches of the city government to their failure to properly manage a harem - she has no reason to expect Queen Llend to choose anyone else.

Princess Eleyna (full sprite)

Eleyna, the frailest of Llend's children, took on the duties of managing the Chambers of Health. Due to her chronic illnesses she discovered the wonders of sleep, and the pleasures of dreams. She allows her servants to run the Chambers for her while she manages herself as best she can, and a harem of maids watches over her for her own safety and health. She is served by her faithful knight, her stuffed bear Sir Robercik.

Princess Elzavetya (full sprite)

The eldest of Llend's Fiore children (to the best of Llend's knowledge anyway), Elzavetya heads Lungarde's Chambers of Commerce. She can often be seen in the town's market square during festivals, trading with caravans and collecting strange trinkets of distant lands. She has hundreds of different economic models she's hand-drawn stuffed into shelves in her room, but she hasn't brought them to the attention of her sisters.

A Day in the Life of Hue-Lit P. Ozuma – Part 1

The captain sat at her desk, idly humming and scrolling through various reports. It would seem that a night's sleep was enough to allow a backlog to develop. A few times her tune faltered as a flash of pain in her right leg sent a jolt right up her spine. It had been worse than usual in the past few days. She had genuinely struggled to fall asleep last night and a stack of reports seemed to be a poor repayment for her troubles. Her fingers ma...
