New FLA download!
For a lil cartoony I made for twitter and youtube! Have a nice weekend, kids!
Lipsync guide
After seeing countless complaints that Brain Dump episodes come out too slowly (which yeah, they do) I've decided to hire more freelancers to help make the show. Which unfortunately means I have to DIRECT them! Heres a style guide for lipsync I made recently. It outlines both the mouth shapes I usually go by, as well as the "flap" technique I use. More to come!
Pants??? Shoes???
Could this be... a new Brain Dump character????
Natalie boards
I don't usually do storyboards, but its helpful when working with a voice actor so I can give them a visual understanding of the scene. I like the description of "Goofball slaps Natalie loudly and performatively on the butt"
Fun Fact!
It's the same model!
Banjo retexture
Been fuckin with the textures in Banjo-Kazooie in my spare time. Kinda cool what higher rez texture files can do!
BRAIN DUMP returns!
In this installment, Goofball has a new girlfriend, and we also discuss mental health. Only thing we DON'T talk about is Dream. Maybe next time?
New channel trailer!
Wanted to make a new channel trailer that didn't involve reviewing movies so people wouldn't expect that
Raw .FLA file for 'Poor Ethan'
.FLA for a lil gag I put up on twitter and youtube yesterday about RE8. You'll need Animate2019 to open!
Basically
I'm baby
Concept for a shot
Probably won't change much between this and the final product tbh
HEY KIDS! Two notes:
FIRST NOTE: I added my characters to Friday Night Funkin! Just for fun tho. You can get the mod files here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Sk2Eg-v_w9hfKHgdfTDAvQUxUNCdKSxd/view?usp=sharingSECOND NOTE: I went through all my old Patreon posts and added tags where I felt they were necessary. This SHOULD be useful in theory because now new patrons should have an easier time finding what they want without having to scroll through every post I've...
BOOTORIA'S SECRET
The season's sexiest styles, for cartoon ghosts
TENDO FLA
Another raw .FLA sourcefile for the cartoon I made for twitter last week! I also ended up throwing it up on youtube because why not, might as well make a few bucks off it.Have fun pokin through this one! I tried to add a type of creator commentary in the margins. Remember: you need the latest version of Adobe Animate to open it
NATALIE, Goofball's Girlfriend
First look at Goof's girlfriend! Held a poll on twitter and youtube on her name and Natalie won out.If you'd like to vote on things that'll make their way into Brain Dump episodes, follow me on twitter or youtube if you're not already! Sometimes there are things I can't decide on so I've gotten into the habit of putting it to a vote. Maybe we can call it 'crowd sourced writing' or 'democratic writing' or so...
I'm BACK!
Hey kids! Sorry I went quiet for a hot minute, I was takin a little time off to regen some stamina. Also, Therapist Goofball or Doctor Goofball?HINT: I'm actually going to use both ๐
BRAIN DUMP: TOP TEN REASONS GARFIELD IS REPUGNANT
The original title was "Top Ten Reasons Garfield is Horse Shit" but I had to change it to avoid demonetization! Can you believe it?
BRAIN DUMP RETURNS THIS FRIDAY!
...But unfortunately , the 'behind the scenes' on this installment might not be so reassuring. I'm not as confident in this episode as I was in the previous two; In addition to it having a smaller scope, it might be a little too weird for its own good. Also, a few things went 'wonky' in its production. The good news is, by making these mistakes, I can recognize the parts of my process that need to be reformed and future episod...
ANOTHER FLA??
An FLA of a short Sonic thing I animated for twitter. Enjoy!
More Clockwork Elf concept art
Kinda regret ditching the halo tbh
HUMAN GOOFBALL
I briefly entertained the idea of trying to make a human form of Goofball that resembled his ghost form, but then I realized that was stupid because no human would ever look like that. So instead, I decided the human version of Goofball should look comically divergent, almost as if he was the opposite of the Goofball we know. And because the Goofball we know is a small, white ghost, it would only make sense that the opposite would be a large, bla...
PROCESS OF A DRAWING
...From last week's new Brain Dump episode. Rough, Revise, Revise, Ink! Thats how we do. Also, shoutout to all the new patrons that have signed up recently! Thanks for hoppin on the winning team!~Max G
I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE COMMUNITY TAB
Hey guys, I didn't know that patreon pages have a "community" tab you can click on, and apparently people have been posting comments there for years. Sorry I never saw those before and didn't reply to any! Heres me and Goofball in the kitchen
