Bloody Knuckles 2 Poster Ideas
Bloody Knuckles started as kind of a one-off experiment, then grew into a 3-part story centered around the shadier bare-knuckle side of my boxing world. Part 1 is here, for anyone who hasn't picked it up yet: http://www.lulu.com/shop/af-combat/bloody-knuckles-book-1/ebook/product-23387328.html (Patrons in the $20 donation tier can download a copy for free, of course.) It's probably the bloodiest and most violent of the stories I've do...
Making new damage morphs...
Took some time last night to create a few new damage morphs to the ones I've already made for eye swelling. Now I've got one for a swollen/broken nose and a fat lip! The pic on the left has all the morphs applied for comparison.
Still working on a nightclub setting...
Need to dirty it up a bit.
Re-Vamping the Bed Ring
I'd posted some pics on the discord chat server a week or two back (and if you're curious on how to get on discord, there's more information here: https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266-How-do-I-get-my-Discord-Rewards- ) But I wanted to share the final result. I had originally only intended to swap out the ring base and ropes for my new model, but it seemed kind of drab in there compared to my other locations. So, I a...
November Private Match Question #2: Gloves!
Poll will run through the end of November fifth.
November Private Match Question #1: Weightclass!
Poll runs through the end of November 5th.
Melly in Thailand Bonus Test images for $20 patrons only!
Here's some extra test images showing Melly's eventual opponent in the ring, as well as some action shots to test out lighting and render times. I already had a bloodied up version of Melly's skin, so I swapped it out in these tests. I haven't made a bloody version of the new fighter yet, that's the only reason she's unmarked. Once again, these are test images.
Studying Abroad... The Final Exam
The pictures I posted yesterday were for more of a training location, but this is where I'm thinking the actual fight would be. It's supposed to be in Thailand, and this setting is probably the closest I can get to faking it (as long as you don't pay attention to what language the signs on the buildings are actually written in...)Closeup:
Note for the rest of the year...
With Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up at the end of November and December, I'm going to be changing the dates for some of the polls I run every month. Normally, polls for the monthly animated clip are open from the first through the fifth, and then the polls for the monthly private match run from the 6th through the 10th. For November and December, polls for both events will run from the first through the fifth, to give me a little more t...
Studying Abroad?
Possible story idea for next year...
New Year's Rumble: Coming January 1st!
Since boxing on New Year's Day has become kind of a big event in Japan, I thought it would be fun to do a short story about Katsumi heading home to defend her national title against a local rival. It's not going to run too long, maybe 10-15 pages of action and a couple of pages of setup, so I'll probably just release it all at once on New Year's Day instead of a page at a time like my longer works.Since it's set in Japan, I'...
Bouncy!
The person who made the boxing gloves I use came out with a free oversize version and an inflatable ring prop, and I couldn't resist.

Bloody Knuckles PDF Download!
Enjoy! And here's a bonus image that ended up not making it into the story:I was originally going to try having the audience climb through the ropes and crowd the fighters when they were on their knees the final time, but it messed with the lighting too much and limited the camera angles that I could use.
October animation clip!
Sorry for the delay.
