June Private Match Question #1: Weightclass
All survey questions will be voted on using Patreon's built-in polling system instead of a link to an outside survey from now on. Unfortunately I have to do a separate poll for each question, but think the results will be more accurate.
Carnival boxing ring
"Step right up! $100 to the lady who can last 3 rounds against the champ!"Found a carnival tent on sale for 60 cents and couldn't resist.
Outdoor stadium action
Added a couple of figures I had already posed to see how things looked in a fight scene.
Outdoor Stadium, phase 1
Trying to rig a setting that'd work for outdoor fights besides the beach ring. I probably need to create a wall that will go around the grandstand without being so high that it blocks the view of the backdrop, and then see what I can do about filling it with people...
Lighting test, and possible future story
I'd bought this light rig a while ago, but I hadn't really been able to get anything I liked out of it until I upgraded to new equipment. The fight itself would be kind of an epilogue for both Razor vs. Mariana and the story that'll be coming after, "The Rivals."
Clothing Test
Thought I'd see if I could turn a standard hoodie into a sleeveless one using opacity maps. Based on a pic and video I saw on twitter.
June Animation Survey!
It's time to pick between the heavyweights this time! Thesurvey will run through June 5th.
Private Match #5 Download
Tried a couple of different things with this one, and decided to let it be a little more quiet.Enjoy!
Vintage boxing animation part 1!
Trying something a little different... It's also posted on my twitter account https://twitter.com/AF_Combat to see if I can get some more eyeballs on this site.
House of Pain Bonus Preview 8: Ella Redding
the second of the three opponents Angel has to face before she's released. I was waiting to design her until the poll finished because I wanted to make sure there was some variety in the look of the three fighters.
House of Pain Bonus Preview 7: "Mad-Dog" Daugherty
The fighter that introduces Angel to boxing.
House of Pain Bonus Preview 6: The Ringer
Now you know what the vote was for...Angel's final opponent: Tina "The Titan" Baker. Top-ranked professional boxer sentenced to 30 days in jail on a trumped-up charge just to be Angel's final opponent. She doesn't want to be there, and is gonna take it out on somebody...
House of Pain Bonus Preview 5: Amanda Dufresne
The first of the three champions Angel has to face.
House of Pain Bonus Preview 4: Angel in her Prime
5 Years Later: Angel is now the Prison Champ. She's up for an early release, but there's a catch: She has to fight three times, in three weeks, against three champions from other prisons transferred in for the occasion.
House of Pain Bonus Preview 3: Young Angel vs. The Champ
Testing how things look from a distance.
House of Pain Bonus Preview 2: Young Angel Meets the Champ
2 Weeks Later: Angel gets thrown in with the prison champ Maggie "Mad-Dog" Daugherty for her first match.
House of Pain Bonus Preview 1: Angel's Arrival
17 years ago: Angel's arrival at the prison, just after having her head shaved. She's never fought before, and she's watching the fight outside her cell knowing she'll be entering the ring before too long...
Prison boxing test...
Testing out how the lighting looks from different angles. Also experimenting with effects to give the story a 70's "grindhouse" kind of feel.
Quick Poll: Which Fighter would you want to see?
I'm kind of being ambiguous because I don't want to spoil anything, but one of the stories I'm working on needs to haveone of my older fighters play a part. I don't have a preference as towhich one to use, and I just can't decide, so I thought I'd throw it out to the community to make the choice. Pick which fighter you'd like to see in an upcoming fight story! The poll will run for 24 hours. For a reminder of what the ...
Angelique LeStrange in the Prison Boxing League
This will probably be the next story for the weekly update. Of all my characters so far, Ol' Angel feels like the most likely to have been in prison...
What I've been working on...
So... yeah. We'll see how things go. I've attached some test frames from the next scenes that'll render overnight over the next couple of days, and I should have more next weekend.
