Do you see what I want to convey in this picture? Yes, it's Sekoshi-chan's foot. To achieve this, I differentiated the background and the depiction of Sekoshi-chan. I separated the layers, using a soft brush to densely describe Sekoshi when rendering, while for the background, I restrained the use of the soft brush to provide minimal detailing. Nevertheless, everything is built on a solid base color. Please check this process in the file....

In this artwork, I used an approach appropriate for conveying the narrative. I refrained from using soft edge brushes as much as possible and simplified the subject for effective expression. I applied the base color first and then, based on that color, gradually added different shades while rendering. I refined the larger elements bit by bit to complete the picture.
