Yoko Littner
GIF + MP4Hello everyone, here is the animation for this month featuring Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann. Now I haven't watched the show before but I did skim through the first 8 or so episodes when planning what to draw. Additionally, a few of the animators I look up to have drawn Yoko in the past so I'm glad to have the opportunity to draw her as well.I decided to take inspiration from some of my older works for this one in terms of light...

Scene 4 - Progress Update
GIF + MP4Hey everyone, I'm back with the rest of the update for the fourth scene.First of all, you'll probably notice that it's a little different from the early rough version I posted a while back. I've decided to separate this scene into two shots. Now, I don't claim to be an expert cinematographer, but the specific action that a shot is focusing on usually shouldn't be limited to a very small portion of the shot, which ...

Scene 4 - Early Progress
GIF + MP4Hi everyone,I'm squeezing out a quick update on the state of scene 4 before the day ends. Thing is, I haven't had much time this month to work on the short much, but I'll share what new things I have so far.I've been working on refining the motion of the walk cycle - I've watched some clips of sexy walks like this, and used that to help me create a more realistic animation. I'm pretty satisfied with how it's t...

GIF + MP4Hey everyoneSo I decided to try a slightly different animation style for this one, a more cell shaded kind of style. It's a nice aesthetic I think, but I'm not sure if I like it more than my usual style. Regardless, I might make more like this if I find it fitting. In other news, I got a new job this month so I didn't have as much time to work on the short, but I'll see if I can post a small update tomorrow. That's all ...

GIF + MP4Hello again, I'm back with the poll winner from last month. It occurred to me that I've never animated a blowjob scene so here is the first attempt along with some hand action, I guess. Hopefully the motion turned out well. It was a little tricky trying to come up with a good perspective for this, but ultimately I ended up with a foreshortened POV kind of thing.Aside from that, there's not much that I didn't cover in the u...

Scene 2&3 - Progress Update
Scene 2 MEGA LinkScene 3 MEGA LinkI've done some work this month on getting the second and third scenes cleaned up and ready for coloring. These two scenes, along with the fifth, are probably the most lengthy and complex ones so I'd like to try getting them out of the way early on so I don't have to worry about them.I've decided to try and get every scene to this level of completion before I worry about colors and background. I mi...
Momoka - Character Sheet
MEGA LinkHello everyone, today I'm releasing some more stuff in relation to the short I'm working on.This post is actually all about my OC who, I'm happy to announce, now has a name! It's probably not very original but it's cute, and I think it fits her aesthetic quite well.Speaking of aesthetic, this probably isn't a great character sheet at least in the technical sense, but I'm mostly using it as an excuse to draw a ...

Animated Short - Revised Animatic
MEGA LinkAt last, an update on the animated short for the first time since December. Well I spent some time this month thinking about the direction that I want to take this animation and after re-watching the animatic several dozen times, I've come to the conclusion that I hate it.Firstly, I wanted to address the issue of quality. I felt that some of the scenes were sloppy and that I am capable of making scenes that are much more dynamic, int...

GIF + MP4Hello everyone, I hope you've all had a good Easter. Spring seems to be in full swing over here as it has been dreadfully hot lately.I've been continuing to experiment with the line quality, opting for a darker but thinner stroke this time. I've also tried some new composition elements this month, namely widescreen format as opposed to the usual 16:9 as well a backlighting for a bit of a more cinematic quality.I've also m...

GIF + MP4Hello everyone, hope you've all had a good March.Spring is kinda close so I thought I'd draw a nice warm outdoor scene for this one. I tried a slightly different style of lineart for this line so let me know if you like it or not.Additionally, I finish my semester in a week so hopefully I'll be able to do some work on the animated short that I've been neglecting since December. That's about it for now.
