Status update Episode 1

I spent this week working a lot on the framework, while rendering animations. Something I want to have in the game is an in-game phone. So, I did a mock-up and boy it really sucked. This was the first draft I made last Saturday:...it wasn't any good. So, I spent this entire week on creating a superior version and as of today it was fully completed. This is the new version:In this week's post I wanted to talk about this phone and all of its...

Special render Josy (NSFW)

This is one of the 7 special renders of Josy that will be featured in the game, as a result of last week's poll. I will release more previews of these special renders, for Josy and Riona, the side character who won her poll, before the release of Episode 1.CheersDr PinkCake

Status update Episode 1

This is the first real status update for Being a DIK. It feels weird...I'm not really sure where to begin or what to include. As you know, I've been working partially on BADIK during these last couple of months. So I've gotten a good head start.Developing an episode of a new game from scratch takes a lot more time than the development thereafter. There are so many things that you, as a developer, take for granted as they are in place af...

Poll results and 600 Patrons rewards

Today the polls for main and side character to be featured in the special renders of Episode 1 ended. Both winners had a huge lead in their own polls. The winner of the side character poll with 34% was Riona. The winner of the main character poll with 68% was Josy.(High resolution versions are attached to this post.)Normally, these special renders would only be posted for +$15 tier supporters but since you put me well above 600 patrons after the re...

Thank you!

This feeling is indescribable. Today I release a complete game.I know I said 14 December, but you know me...I've never been able to wait for the dates I've announced. Thank the beta testers and proofreader for this. This is a labor of love. I've worked many thousands of hours to complete this. It's been such a fun journey with a lot of ups and downs, but this is it, the final release of Acting Lessons. This game contains:>5000 render...

BADIK Side character poll

Time for another poll. This one is released immediately for +$5 patrons, due to rendering needs (I'm setting up a framework and need the renders). The concept of this poll is the same as for the other poll that's currently live. The winner gets featured in special renders that can be found in the game during events of free roam or from winning mini games. These renders are solely determined by patrons and the same character can't win tw...

Being a DIK poll

Ok! Time to start doing polls again! Man, I'm excited for this. The concept of many upcoming polls will be cosmetic, i.e. what clothes characters should wear, or polls like this one, which is a poll for special renders. In Being a DIK there will be elements of free roam (It's mainly a visual novel, VN, but you'll see what I mean when you play it) and minigames. Both of these can unlock Special renders. For each Episode, the current plan...

Status update Episode 8

Acting LessonsLet's start with some great news! Acting Lessons is virtually complete. It's currently out for beta testing and proofreading. After which, I will fix the bugs/dialogue and start to package the release.I know that you're eager to play it and you will, on December 14th.The deadline for being in the credits of Acting Lessons has passed; it's no longer possible to get that Legend patron reward or to change your name. Some ...

Status Update Episode 8

This report is a day or two early, because it's the end of the month and I'm sure many of you are wondering what's happening in December and thinking about what to do with your pledges. So, this was a big week. When I wasn't at work, I spent every single second available on producing static renders.Still, the render queue was almost empty every day when I got back home; so my PCs also rendered some BADIK animations that were in the...
