CHEE WEEKLY #6 - I FORGOT LAST WEEK

YCH - Vae's Beach BBQ auction retrospectiveI wanted to share some brief thoughts on the lead up, auction itself and post-auction process.Lacking confidenceI think the worst thing about working on larger projects isn't the challenge but instead the nagging negative fear of 'failure' prodding at the back of your skull the entire time. This was me leading up to posting the YCH and why it took me quite a long time going from concept t...

CHEE WEEKLY #5 - Your Charr Here (and bonus chee)

CHEE WEEKLY #4 - Sketchingsketchingsketching

I'm late. This week I mostly focused on sketching, practice, and starting a few new projects instead of finishing some pending art. I'm starting to get the hang of Procreate and am enjoying it quite a lot as a sort of sketch pad for future artwork. I'm not sure if I could finish work on their completely, as it lacks a lot of the features/complexity from Photoshop that I use all the time. SketcheeFirst attempt at taking one of my exist...

CHEE WEEKLY #3 - Tula time

The subject of this week has been a particular pink lizard of mine, TulaNew Friends WIPStill gradually working on my half of an art trade little by little Procreate and sketchingI've had an iPad for a number of years now and Procreate and I never got along. Something about the brush engine and fairly basic feature set never sat right with me (as someone coming from Photoshop). But this week I finally found a couple of brushes that felt less a...

Patreon Update - Opening up Discord and adult content

HI ALLa short update for you all. If you're reading this you've probably heard of Patreon's ToS update in terms of sexual content and explicit consent. Due to the fairly hazy, blurred lines of this ToS change I wont be hosting my adult content on Patreon from now on. HOWEVER, I will still be creating NSFW/MATURE content. And as a direct leading statement from the latter - if you're a content-interested Patron it's highly encour...

Patron Exclusive - Lost Art

I drew a lot last year, which inevitably means a lot of the things I drew never got finished and abandoned, so I figured it'd be fun to post some of the things that never saw the light of day while giving a little insight into why I dumped them.A portrait of Aven. This was originally going to be my pride-themed art of the year but I decided toward the end to redo it and instead we got the enby lollipop art instead. It was basically 90% done.T...

Patreon Update - NEW YEAR NEW-ER CHEE

I will make this joke every year and I'm not sorry about it.Here's a quick little update to start the year since I'm making a couple of changes.Commission consolidation and pricingIt was inevitable but my prices have increased. The tl;dr: cost of living is way up, it's not getting better any time soon, and I was already working at around minimum wage before things started to get real bad. I hate having to do it as I don't like...
