Aaahhh, being a child.
Finally! Upcoming Changes to Tamberlane Patreon!
After a few months of plonking away during idle hours while resting, the Tamberlane Patreon is finally ready to relaunch! Unfortunately, we are not able to do a stream party this time, but you can expect the change to happen Monday, March 31st, at around 10am PST.You have until then to get onto the $2 tier if you want to stay at that price point for weekly pages. After that, the lowest tier will be $5. For more information on what's happening...

Style Studies: Ghibli, Cartoon Saloon, Rumiko Takahashi & Milt Kahl
For today's study session I decided to put together some wheels to spin with $100+ patron characters and some of my childhood inspiration! The wheel came up with Studio Ghibli, Cartoon Saloon, Rumiko Takahashi, and Milt Kahl. I had a blast studying how these different creators/studios construct characters, and then experimented a bit with taking the lessons myself.I learned a lot about different ways to do shape and gesture, although I defini...
Foxglove Spring Banner: Cleaning
Every season, our Discorddoes a prompt for banners, and anyone who submits (within caveats) gets to go into the rotation of banners for the season! Our prompt for Spring was Cleaning, so I took a little time today to knock out a spring cleaning banner :D I cribbed a little bit off of Momo's idea, but my own interpretation.Had fun figuring out how I wanted to do the cleaner and glass effects, and I think it turned out pretty good, all told!

Whew!! Back into the saddle!! Enjoy some sweetness as a return to page production :D (Don't worry, I'm taking it slow and easing back into it!)For long-time readers, you might be feeling like Penny being her best friend comes out of nowhere. That's because over the years, Penny got the short straw in terms of how many kids I could fit into a scene. One of the major things we did during the Books 1-4 edits was reintroduce Penny into sc...
New Collection Images
Hello hello all! I am feeling well enough to get BACK TO WORK :D I've spent this week getting ducks in a row for that Patreon RevampI mentioned before the surgery, and part of that has been reorganizing posts and Collections, removing old posts that are no longer useful or relevant (or are confusing). As a way to ease back into art, I took today to make some fresh art for the News, Resources, and Behind the Scenes collections. It was soooo ni...
Break Time!
Hello all! Tamberlane is going on a posting break until April 2nd!At the end of January, I had a fairly major (elective) surgery and am still recovering. I'd hoped to be back at work by now, but I need more time. Since the buffer of finished comics is pretty close to empty and I don't want to fret about that, I'm just putting a pause until I feel better. I'm PRETTY sure I'll be better by April, but I reserve the right to exten...

Oh Penny, you sure are a Penny.(That second panel is one of my favorite Penny panels of all time)That's the last buffer page that will come out for the next month as I recuperate from my upcoming surgery! Stay frosty, everyone! (Or don't, since I think much of us are a little toofrosty lately)

Minor Patreon Squish Incoming!
Hello all! As mentioned in my 2024 Wrap-up post, I'm shrinking my Patreon further in 2025. Having fewer responsibilities outside of the comic page has done wonders for my mental and physical health -- and the health of the comic itself! So I'm following that trend to squish the Patreon down a little further. To start, here's what we were keeping in mind as we were making our plans:Reduce the number of tiers down to 3 regular tiers and ...

Redraw: Vaporeon (8 year Improvement)
For Create What You Want Friday, I decided to repaint a Vaporeon piece I did 8 years ago. It was previously one of the pieces I was proudest of, and one of the few which actually hangs on my wall. But I knew I'd improved somewhat. I did not realize how much!!I still have a lot I want to learn about water and fluid dynamics, and lighting, but the improvement is palpable and I am VERY proud of the result. And I bet 8 years from now, I'm gon...
