We’re making a weird laptop…
We’re making a laptop… out of cardboard! I’ll give some backstory on how we came up with this idea. A while ago, Evan learned about the Framework laptop which is a laptop assembled of various interchangeable pieces, with the benefit of being able to easily upgrade individual parts (it’s all modular). Since it’s all these modular pieces, we’ve been brainstorming weird laptop “casings” we could build, and cardboard struck our minds....

It’s done and it’s HEAVY

Small scale tests with destructive results

We almost failed at the VERY end

How our strength tests turned out
We demolded our concrete keycap tests (you know, where we mixed in PVA glue, fiberglass, and sand to see how each strengthened concrete, as well as testing what happens to concrete in a pressure chamber). The robot is complete!
The Furby Robot (aka Furbot aka Coco... a name it gave itself) is complete!! And he’s sooooo cute and cursed at the same time hahaha.We even took him to the park for a walk! The photos really don’t do him justice, he’s soooooo creepy when he moves haha.
