New "Grass Lover" mushroom grow kit (for pan cyan or any other grass lover species)

I'm really excited about this because I have been trying to get a vendor to make kits suitable for my pan cyan TEKfor more than a year and no one seemed able or willing to do it, people have been asking me where they could buy the substrate, etc. and I had no good source UNTIL TODAY! Midwest grow kits finally put together a kit that matches my recommended specifications. As far as I know, they are the ONLY vendor out there that is selling a k...

News on psychedelics related legislation and initiatives & PanCyan TEK Feedback

Big news for Michigan: Ballot initiative would legalize psychedelic mushrooms in MichiganIt looks like Michigan is following in Oregon's footsteps with a statewide ballot initiative that would not just legalize using, growing and possessing psychedelic plants, but would also establish a framework for treatment with psychedelics and even allow SALES of psychedelics by certain groups.“We really want to avoid the medical model,” Williams sai...

Making and Using a Spore Syringe

In this video I show the essential steps not shown in my pan cyan video, that is, how to generate the grain spawn if all you have is a spore print. This video was requested by a patron, hope you enjoy it. It is also available on Rumble and on Odysee. Using a spore syringe is an easier alternative to using agar.Note: some people say you should wait 24 hours before using a freshly made spore syringe to give the spores time to fully hydrate. I consi...

Banned on YouTube again, trying Rumble and Odysee?

https://rumble.com/vspv0r-panaeolus-cyanescens-crown-jewel-of-mushrooms.htmlhttps://odysee.com/@GordoTEK:1/GTEK-PanCyanTEK1080Compressed3500kbps:1Apparently YouTube thinks my INTRODUCTION ONLY vid for Panaeolus cyanescens where I talk about its history, published studies/anecdotes and alkaloid content is DANGEROUS and had to be permanently removed:This once again has me looking for alternatives. In the last year, little known Rumble has gone from...

Merry (Psychedelic) Christmas!

Hopefully I don't trigger anyone the wrong way. My channel is mostly focused on science, research, and practical aspects around psychedelics. But there are also cultural and religious aspects which fascinate and captivate my mind now and then. For example there is a long history of associations between Christianity and mushrooms, this can be seen in ancient art, attire, architecture and artifacts. Some even believe Jesus spoke about mushrooms...

Horizons Perspectives on Psychedelics Conference

Wrapping up the annual conference today, I've been attending lectures for the last 3 days. Many leading researchers, writers, and pioneers in the field are here. Also a great place to meet and talk with countless enthusiasts and hobbiests from the psychedelic community.Hamilton Morris spoke about sourcing psychedelics (natural and synthetic). I was able to talk with him afterwards, got him to sign my copy of the book where he describes his ve...

Panaeolus Cyanescens Video (New Simple Grow TEK)

UPDATE 2024: I have published a new simpler TEKfor growing pan cyan that you may want to jump to but much of the info in this older video may still be of interest to my audience.________________________After more than a year of work, it's finally done. The video is now on Odyseeand Rumblewhich are probably the best ways to view it if they don't ban me. I could not put the video on YouTube due to the censorship there (hopefully people will...

A brief update - Panaeolus Cyanescens Video to be released tomorrow & other news

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Pan Cyan vid I've been working on for more than a year is finally going to be finished tomorrow. I've been working almost around the clock on it lately to wrap it up, but I need to fact check a few last items and do a final review before I actually release it. It's a little bit more than a typical "how to" vid. I did an enormous amount of research, talked with chemist experts in forens...

New vid: Making and Using Agar

In this video I show how to make and use agar. Thought it would be a good idea to put this vid out before publishing the Pan Cyan TEK vid which I've been working on for far too long (I know). I want to give away lots of spore prints but only if people know what to do with a spore print ;) Hopefully this vid makes it clear. This video is also on Rumble and on Odysee. Note that making a spore syringe may be a better alternative for beginners (I...

How do mushroom spores travel so far?

Until recently most people assumed wind alone was responsible for disbursing mushroom spores after they are catapulted from the mushroom, we now know there is more to the story. Mushrooms actively generate their own air currents as they evaporate water (partially explaining why mushrooms need so much water)! These air currents created by the mushroom can carry the spores far enough away from the mushroom to then be caught in a cross wind and move...

MidWest Grow Kits JAR Kit Review

This will probably be my last "kit review" but Midwest Grow Kits was kind enough to send the kits and create an affiliate link to support the channel so I figured it would be a fun change of pace. If you are interested in any of their products please use this link and it will help out my channel: https://midwestgrowkits.referralrock.com/l/1GORDOTEK90/ Note: The kit from this video is under their "grow kits" tab and called "Ult...

Big money pouring into psychedelics, research and development, possible legalization in California

Something significant happened today, a company called atai Life Sciences went public, raising over $250 million in new funds (in addition to over $360 million previously raised) that will go toward clinical trials and all aspects of the investigation and commercialization of numerous psychedelic compounds. The total valuation of the company is currently over $3 billion after its very successful first day of trading, making it the largest psyched...

Delta-8 the lesser known form of THC that is federally LEGAL in the US

In honor of 420 (OK, I'm a few days late) I thought I would bring a little bit of attention to something many people have never even heard of, that is Delta 8 THC, because we are at a very strange point in history for this compound. Many people believe hemp is completely "non-psychoactive", in fact if you google it you will see almost endless references to hemp being non-psychoactive:But this is not really true, first of all, even the...

Psilocybin vs. SSRI drugs for depression - who wins?

Researchers at Imperial College of London just published the results of a double blind study they conducted to compare psilocybin to the popular antidepressant SSRI drug Lexapro (Escitalopram). I have to admit, I did a double take when I saw that they used a psilocybin microdose as a PLACEBO in the group that got the LexaproIt was only 1mg for the placebo, but still... technically both groups got some psilocybin, haha. The result was that both gr...

Bad trip averted thanks to kind stranger with GordoTEK trip music ;)

I wanted to share the following story sent to me yesterday from someone here. It made me smile [Note -- all pics are just stock photos]: “I’m just getting back from a week of camping in Joshua Tree National Park (dreamscape playground). One day I was walking back to my campsite and a guy in the neighboring site stopped me and said “I’m not ok”. He tried to tell me he thought he had covid. He was sitting in his car in the sun with the AC...

Large Study Of Microdosing Psychedelics Shows Benefits but also the Power of Placebo

I've been rather skeptical of microdosing and have long been eagerly anticipating rigorous scientific research results. Now we finally have some published data in the form of this study. Imperial College London, on a shoestring budget, got 191 participants to prepare their own microdoses AND placebos by putting microdoses (of their own choosing and sourcing) into opaque capsules (so you could not tell which ones were empty vs. containing the ...

Extracting Harmine and Harmaline from Peganum Harmala (Syrian Rue seeds)

Vid Link Before asking a question, please read the FAQDetails on harmala interactions (safety): https://bit.ly/3mHzc6fFood interactions: https://bit.ly/3jM9SdwI don't know if anyone will be able to tell, but producing this video was brutal. I spent far more time on this one than any previous video I've done. As I had mentioned previously, there really weren't any high quality videos on YouTube showing the complete harmala extraction p...

GordoTEK BANNED from YouTube +NEW LINKS TO ALL CONTENT

We live in the age of big tech control over what you are allowed to see or say. YouTube (owned by Google) does not like my content. I'm growing weary of fighting them. Also growing weary of starting over from scratch. The worst part is their reason for deleting the channel:They seem to be accusing me of selling illegal drugs or providing links to sites that sell illegal drugs? I do not understand this, as I have never sold illegal drugs nor d...

First GordoTEK Interview: Timothy Ko CEO Entheon Biomedical Jan 27 2021

I'm officially outing myself to the world by appearing in this video. This is also my first interview for the channel. I picked this company after observing the introduction of numerous psychedelic related public companies in the last year. Note that many of these companies have been favorably embraced by investors although that is NOT the purpose of this video. I would consider all of these early stage psychedelic related companies to be hig...

More jurisdictions decriminalize psychedelics

I won't post an update every time one of these pops up, because I expect an endless stream of them, but of special note with this announcement of decriminalization from yet another US jurisdiction, is mention that "we are filing a state bill this month that will create a legislative task force to study statewide decriminalization". This means the decriminalization of psychedelics statewide in Massachusetts is now officially "on th...

Milestone in Canada: Private company uses legal psilocybin for palliative care

This is something that has been years in the making, finally, a private company was able to legally treat a terminally ill cancer patient in Canada with psilocybin. The preliminary results look encouraging. According to the patient: "I would say that 50% of the extreme anxiety and depression I have been feeling just disappeared immediately. I suddenly feel at peace within, and for the first time in years, I feel physically and mentally relaxe...

Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. This has been such a crazy year, I know a lot of people are struggling due to the pandemic and the tough economy for many industries. I myself lost my "day job" two months ago when the company I had worked 15 years for was forced to make deep layoffs. And yet I have a great sense of calm and feel quite blessed and optimistic about the future. My family is doing OK and I hop...

Psilocybin mushrooms potentially to be decriminalized in New Jersey

This is a very interesting development, as we are starting to see a new trend of jurisdictions treating mushrooms like they have been treating cannabis recently - very much open to reform and decriminalization. In this case it looks like mushrooms were almost "snuck in" to the cannabis legislation at the last minute! ;)

Congratulations Oregon!

Oregon voters passed (by a 12 point margin) the initiative to create the first statewide program allowing access to psilocybin through licensed providers. This is a major milestone for the psychedelic community. Separately they also passed another initiative to remove criminal penalties — including prison time — for possessing small amounts of currently illegal drugs, and will give those caught with drugs the option of either paying a $100 fi...

Hopkins Griffiths Protocol for Psilocybin with Meditation for Enduring Benefits

The Rumble link: https://rumble.com/vsrcr9-hopkins-griffithsrichards-protocol-for-psilocybin-with-meditation-for-endur.htmlYouTube Link (backup link). I've been working on this video for a very long time, I'm happy that its finally published, and just in time for 9/20, the Holiday for Psychedelic Mushrooms! Already I see things I'd like to improve, but that is probably always the case ;). Hope you enjoy it. The written up version of t...

Compass Pathways (psilocybin therapy company) announces IPO

This is an interesting development as I believe Compass will become the biggest publicly traded company so far that is solely focused on psychedelics. I'm not that enthusiastic about their prospects from an investment standpoint but I will definitely be keeping my eye on them. Right now their focus is on using psilocybin along with licensed therapists, to help people with treatment resistant depression. The reason I'm not convinced about ...
