New haircut, who dis?

I finally had a moment of self care and it felt so good! It seems like I’ve been running myself ragged lately preparing for Riot Fest, filming in Nashville and my home shows in Rock Island and really neglecting myself. Maintaining self care while I’m in preparation mode is difficult but I made time to get my hair done and it feels great. What have you done this week to show yourself some love and care?

Pt2 first practice with new costume, music and fans

https://vimeo.com/1004677396/6713c778f4 This is 💯 improvised and unpolished so bare with me, but I like how the music flows with the costume and fans. I’m going to keep going in this direction and see where it leads me. It took me about four years total between collecting peacock feathers that were either vintage or humanly harvested mostly by myself on farms that had peacocks. Every time we pick a farm that has peacocks i spend most of my t...

Extremely rare unboxing of 1930’s Cooch Tent carnival costumes made and worn by Fay Parker AKA Francis Parks

Francis parksNot so long ago I stumbled upon a gorgeous lot of vintage, 1930’s burlesque costumes from an extraordinary vintage dealer, Cindy at "Petticoats plus", a great vintage Etsy shop. I'm so impressed that Cindy had the forethought to take down some history on this talented designer/dancer, these lovely garments belonged to all those years ago. Not only did she inquire about the history but when I asked if she could possibly ...

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/positively-anti-inflammatory/id1547032543?i=1000666086751My friend Alyssa reached out to me a little while back and asked me if I would be willing to do an interview on her podcast about anti-inflammatory life. Being recently diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, this means that inflammation is my enemy so I’m doing my best to avoid things that trigger inflammation. This coincides with , what Alyssa‘s podc...
