Improved layout on mobile
This week's update improves the layout on mobile and adds support for opening multiple sidebars.Previously, FrontierNav's the mobile layout's sidebar overlapped the current page. This caused the content behind it to be inaccessible. It also required multiple clicks to first open the sidebar and then to expand it to view its content. Now the sidebar appears below the page and can be scrolled to naturally. You can also click the top of t...
Introducing Wiki Pages
This week's update introduces wiki pages.FrontierNav is first and foremost about organising and exploring structured game data. However there's benefits to both structured and unstructured data, like how Wikidata supplements Wikipedia. For FrontierNav, I'm hoping to make that combination more streamlined and easier to navigate. To start, wiki pages are pretty simple, you can find them under the "Overview" section on any entity ...
Change Request Improvements
In this week's update, the focus was on finalising the change request improvements from the weeks before and planning towards the next milestone. The change request process on FrontierNav should now be intuitive enough that anyone can take ownership of specific wikis without me being involved. So, if you're interested, let me know. There's some work remaining around giving people admin permissions, but I'll prioritise that when the...

Added ability to go to a specific location by giving its x/y values.Data Tables Migrated featured guides ...

Server upgrade
I'll be upgrading FrontierNav's server this week. Everything should go smoothly as there's a multi-step process. However, it's been a while since the last upgrade so there may be some issues. Let me know if anything isn't working as expected. In case you're wondering, the upgrade is to support more features and traffic. The current server doesn't have enough memory and processing power. Thanks to everyone for sharing Fro...
Plans for 2023
It's a new year, so I thought I'd make some room here to share some of the larger pieces I'm working on or planning to some time this year, in no particular order. I'll get into the details of each idea once I start working on them. This doesn't include improving existing features like maps and tables which is always on-going, nor does it include future needs that may arise.Wiki view for long-form text content. This is to broade...

Visual Design Cleanup
As mentioned in last week's weekly, I've tweaked FrontierNav's visual design to be more consistent across the board. It's easy for things to get messy as I'm adding more features so it's worth realigning everything now and then. One of the additional things I tried to do is give the game-specific pages a bit more "soul". I did that here by making the pages semi transparent with a blurred background to give a frosted...
